SUB-CONTRACT - ENGINEERING SERVICES TO MANY INDUSTRIES

The Standen factory has all the manufacturing facilities necessary to produce high quality farm machinery and other products.

These facilities are available to sub-contract customers, enabling us to manufacture a wide range of products. The facilities shown below are available either individually or collectively.

Drawing & Design Office

A modern Autocad system is available to provide customers with ‘one-off’ designs, or to provide batch runs. Prototype work can be undertaken, as can the up-grading of existing products or designs. Experienced engineers are on hand to give advice if required.

Fabrication Department

Certificated welders produce uniformly high quality work in most commonly used materials. Components of up to 2.0 tonnes weight can be handled.

Sheet Metal Department

Equipped with CNC Rasor fine plasma cutting and punching machinery, sheet steel of up to 50mm. can be handled. A CNC press-brake handles bending requirements for material up to 12mm. Guillotines can cut material 3m’s wide with a section of up to 12mm.

Machine Shop

Traditional machining skills and modern CNC machinery allows Standen to offer customers a wide capacity range. CNC lathes can turn components of up to 350mm diameter. Centre lathes can handle items up to 1.0m. diameter. Components 1.0m. long, 500mm wide and 500mm high can be accommodated for centre-machining.

Assembly Department

The assembly line can undertake small bench assembly work, or can assemble complete machines. Lifting capacity is 5.0 tonnes.

Paint Shop

Two paint shops can handle products 3.0m wide, 3.5m high and 6.0m long.
