Based on a second-hand TERRA DOS T2 harvester to maximise cost effectiveness, the TERRA TRANSPORT is produced to order. Modified and fully factory refurbished it is offered with a HOLMER factory backed warranty.
TERRA TRANSPORT offers outstanding wet weather performance with its generous wheel equipment, mechanical axles and differential locks.
The 4-wheel steering articulating chassis provides a ‘dog-leg’ function (TERRA DOS); this spreads the load, dramatically reduces soil impact and leaves level fields in good condition, ready for the next crop.
Extra wide tyres, (80cm fronts, 109cm rears), also help protect soil from wheel damage.
Modifications to the main drive, gearbox and hydraulics, means the TERRA TRANSPORT provides reliable operation, with its 25 km/h top speed, in the field or on the road. Revised software reduces fuel consumption and enhances control responses.
Other modifications are made to the sugar beet holding tank to improve its capacity to 20-tonnes, and to make loading and unloading easier and faster.
The donor HOLMER harvester lends itself well to this application as it features robust mechanical axles which provide a long reliable service life. So well engineered, the rugged Homer harvester chassis rarely gives problems.
